The 35th Annual Dr. Peter Fedi Periodontics Lecture: Navigating Implant Challenges of the Aesthetic Zone: Optimizing Hard and Soft Tissue Outcomes for Long-Term Success, Cont’d
Thursday, April 23
2 - 5 PM
3 CDE Credits – DDS, DH
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This comprehensive, one-day course explores the management of soft and hard tissue defects of varying complexities in the aesthetic zone. Participants will learn biologically based surgical principles, advanced grafting techniques and provisionalization strategies essential for predictable aesthetic outcomes. Through a combination of basic and advanced case presentations, the course will cover isolated soft tissue procedures, combined hard and soft tissue augmentation and prosthetically driven planning. Attendees will gain practical skills to manage simple to complex defects, optimize peri-implant and natural tooth esthetics and maintain long-term stability through evidence-based protocols and restorative collaboration.
Course Objectives:
1. Describe treatment protocols for combined hard and soft tissue augmentation in complex aesthetic zone cases.
2. Integrate provisionalization strategies to guide and maintain peri-implant soft tissue contours during healing.
3. Discuss prosthetically driven surgical planning and the role of provisional restorations in achieving optimal aesthetic outcomes.
4. Apply evidence-based decision-making for selecting defect-specific surgical and prosthetic approaches to ensure predictable, long-term results.
