The 30th Annual Dr. Dan Cruz Memorial Prosthodontic Lecture: Digital Execution and Delivery: Restorative Workflows Across All Prosthodontic Disciplines

Thursday, April 23

2 - 5 PM

3 CDE Credits – DDS, DH, DA, AUX

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This session focuses on translating digital plans into high-quality prosthetic outcomes. Using digitally driven workflows, we’ll explore how each discipline (fixed, removable, implant and maxillofacial) uses materials, manufacturing, verification techniques and communications protocols to ensure predictable and aesthetic results.

Course Objectives:
1. Implement digital workflows for fabricating and delivering fixed, removable, implant-supported and maxillofacial prostheses using CAD/CAM and 3D printing technologies.
2. Select appropriate materials and manufacturing techniques based on case type and phase of treatment (e.g. zirconia, PMMA, silicone, titanium frameworks).
3. Apply digital verification methods (fit-checks, occlusal analysis, try-ins) to ensure precision and reduce prosthetic complications.
4. Manage common complications digitally by modifying existing designs or workflows for repairs, remakes or long-term adjustments.
5. Establish quality assurance protocols and documentation standards to ensure reproducibility, efficiency and patient satisfaction across all prosthodontic phases.
