HANDS-ON Workshop: Porcelain Laminate Veneers

ABOUT THE COURSE

In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn to prepare teeth for veneers using three different preparation designs. This lecture and hands-on course series will provide a comprehensive and practical demonstration of how to execute porcelain laminate veneers, including the most common problems and how to avoid these mistakes in your dental office.

This session will enable participants to:
- Review tooth preparation options and when each are indicated for use.
- Create a veneer preparation reduction guide along with silicone temporary shells.
- Fabricate a temporary restoration on a prepared tooth.
- Review cementation.

*Note: You must attend Dr. Kugel's Veneer lecture on Friday afternoon to register for this course.

PRESENTER

Gerard Kugel, D.M.D., M.S., Ph.D

Gerard Kugel, DMD, MS, PHD, is the Dean of UNMC College of Dentistry in Lincoln, NE. Dr. Kugel is a Past Associate Dean for Research and Professor Emeritus at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. With an expertise in Clinical Research and Esthetic Dentistry, he is a reviewer for The New England Journal of Medicine, JADA, The Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, and the Clinician's Report. He is on the Editorial Board of The Journal of Comestic Dentisty, Compendium and Inside Dentistry, where he is Editor Emeritus. He is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry and the Academy of Dental Materials. Dr. Kugel has his PhD in Dental Materials; and earned his Executive Certificate in Management and Leadership from the Sloan School of Management at MIT. Conflict of interest: Ivoclar
