
HANDS-ON WORKSHOP: Adhesive Dentistry - Maximizing the Placement of Anterior and Posterior Composites

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The use of composite resin material as a direct restorative for anterior restorations has dramatically increased in the marketplace. Producing invisible restorations on anterior teeth can be a challenge. Learning how to properly blend composite resin to create lifelike results will be explored and practiced. The restoration of diastemas, worn incisal edges, fractured teeth and cervical erosion, abfraction and caries on anterior teeth will all be covered.
Course Objectives:
1. Understand proper preparation protocols for all anterior composite restorations.
2. How to achieve the highest, predictable bond to anterior teeth.
3. How to reproduce natural tooth characteristics using composite resin.
4. How to create invisible restorations with composite resin.
5. How to restore Class IV, V and VI restorations seamlessly and effortlessly.
6. How to establish lifelike surface anatomy and polish with a simple, predictable technique.

PRESENTER:
Marc Geissberger, DDS, M.A., CPT
Marc Geissberger taught at University of the Pacific for 30 years and served as chair of their Integrated Reconstructive Dental Sciences Department for 15 years. He ran Pacific’s prestigious complex and esthetic rehabilitation program. He is a fellow of the American Dental Education Association’s leadership institute, researcher and published author in the areas of dental materials, contemporary fixed prosthodontics and esthetic dentistry. He has lectured nationally and internationally in the areas of adhesive dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, photography, ceramic, fixed prosthodontics and treatment planning. Geissberger serves as a consultant for many dental materials companies and helps guide product development. During his 30 years in academia, he has maintained a private practice geared toward restorative dentistry with his brother. A member of the Catapult Group, Geissberger has been awarded fellowship in the International College of Dentists, American College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. He has won several teaching awards and has presented over 450 lectures and hands-on workshops to colleagues in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, China, Peru, Denmark, and Taiwan.
