Dementia and Dentures: How to Help our Patients Living with Neurodegeneration

Friday, April 24

2 - 5 PM

3 CDE Credits – DDS, DH, DA, AUX

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Dentures – partial, complete, implant-supported removable – are more likely to be lost within the first three months of moving into a long-term care community. What do we do when we get that call? What if our patient’s mom lost her denture – and she was never our patient? Cloning dentures is an inexpensive side-book procedure, and if the patient is already on record, they don’t even need to be there.

Course Objectives:
1. Discover a new way to build your practice – even if you have never made a denture (and don’t want to).
2. Ascertain the conveniences of the “digital pathways” of copying dentures.
3. Uncover how to become the hero with your local long-term care community when a denture gets broken/lost.
