About the Course

A myriad of topics for treating the pediatric patient will be included in this course. Management of caries with non-surgical techniques, mandibular incisor crowding and space maintenance, along with techniques for extraction of primary molars, local anesthesia and reattachment of incisor enamel fragments are included. The course will end with a discussion of parental presence for treatment.

This session will enable participants to:
- Gain enhanced skills and confidence for managing the developing dentition
- Have more comfort with parental presence for treatment
- Perform evidence-based treatment for the pediatric patient

Speaker

Jane Soxman, D.D.S.

Dr. Jane Soxman is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, a fellow in both the American College of Dentists and American Academy of Pediatric Dentists and manuscript reviewer for the journal, General Dentistry. She is a seminar instructor for two general practice residency programs, editor of the first and second editions of the Handbook of Clinical Techniques in Pediatric Dentistry and lead author of Anomalies of the Developing Dentition. Lectures incorporate the realities of practice and evidence-based recommendations. Conversational-style, fact-filled lectures and numerous publications have earned her recognition as a leader in continuing education.
