COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This lecture will discuss common issues related to implant restorations. For example, why screw loosening occurs often years later. Research will discuss how to improve esthetics of the materials used as well as the problems implant companies don't solve. All research and information shared is designed for clinical practice and can be implemented immediately.
Course Objectives:
1. Optimizing titanium – reducing risk from corrosion and improving esthetics.
2. Reducing the risk of screw loosening.
3. Understanding implants and occlusions.
4. Exploring and understanding case reports on improving implant esthetics.4. Understand the restorative issues that lead to peri-implantitis and the solutions.

PRESENTER:
Chandur Wadhwani, DDS, MSD
Chandur Wadhwani, DDS, MSD, received his dental degree from University College London, then attained a master’s degree from the University of Washington. He is currently in a full-time practice limited to prosthetic dentistry in Bellevue, Washington.
Wadhwani is an affiliate faculty in prosthodontics at University of Washington and Loma Linda and is an associate professor in periodontics at Oregon Health & Science University. Wadhwani has published more than 100 articles and has chapters in seven textbooks and lectures internationally. He is currently researching with several graduate school departments on material related to dental implants.
