About the Course
CBD, THC, OMG! Let’s test your knowledge of the cannabis culture. With hundreds of compounds in the plant, the uses range from vaping, smoking, eating and as an extract. Dental professionals are encouraged to be up to date on the latest research on cannabis in regards to oral and overall health, including oral health products.
This session will enable participants to:
- Define cannabis sativa
- Identify cannabis trends
- Explore cannabis oral health products, including toothpastes, rinses and oils

Lancette VanGuilder, B.S., R.D.H., P.H.E.
Lancette VanGuilder is a proud COVID-19 vaccinator in Reno, Nevada. She is an internally recognized continuing education speaker, a complete health dental hygienist, airway ambassador, owner/operator of a mobile dental hygiene practice, public health advocate and key opinion leader. Lancette has received numerous local, state and national awards for her efforts in advocacy, public health, education and dental hygiene leadership. Most recently, she received the 2022 Denobi All-Star Award, recognizing key dental industry experts making contributions to the field of dentistry around the world. She is passionate about access to care, disease prevention and utilization of the dental hygienist.
