About the Course

The modern dental professional graduates with greater debt and financial challenges than ever before. From student loans to retirement planning, the need for strategic planning has never been more necessary, and this need is further heightened for existing practice owners. Increased treatment costs and cuts in insurance coverage have made patient treatment acceptance more difficult, further straining our production goals, influencing treatment outcomes, and highlighting the need for optimal practice management.

This course will provide a comprehensive examination of several essential factors a dental professional needs to succeed as an individual and practice owner from graduation day to retirement. It also reviews the flaws with patient treatment financing and how practices can modernize their approach with new technologies that allow for optimal management of business metrics and maximum patient acceptance of treatment that result in increased productivity.

This session will enable participants to:
-Develop a financial strategy to eliminate student debt and prepare for retirement from day 1
-Understand insurances for the practitioner vs. patients
-Learn new management and financing platforms that can transform practice metrics and patient treatment acceptance


Sam Shamardi, DMD

Dr. Sam Shamardi earned his DMD at Tufts University and his periodontal certificate at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and Implant Surgery and practices full-time while teaching part-time at the Harvard Division of Periodontics. Dr. Shamardi lectures nationally and internationally on topics within periodontics and hearing loss in dentistry and has published multiple articles. He is recognized as a dental entrepreneur for his revolutionary EarAid product and published The Financial Survival Guide for Dentists, geared toward helping early career dental professionals establish a foundation in the business aspect of their careers.
