ABOUT THE COURSE
Everyone benefits from developing an ability to recognize and promote ethical behaviors in the workplace. This training presentation will cover concepts of ethics with examples of how ethics applies to our daily activities, personally and professionally. The primary goal of this training is to teach participants how to make ethical choices in situations where decisions, behaviors, or outcomes could be considered right or wrong. An emphasis will be placed on how to act ethically, demonstrate integrity, and the need to accept our own mistakes.
This session will enable participants to:
- Develop an understanding of their individual and professional ethical responsibilities.
- Encourage ethical behaviors in others.
- Have a deeper understanding of the legal implications of having or not having an ethics program.
- Learn how to identify unethical behavior.
PRESENTER
Steve Anderson, CIG
Steven Anderson is the Inspector General for the Kansas Medicaid program with the responsibility to oversee and conduct audits, performance reviews, and investigations related to the Medicaid program. He has provided numerous trainings and informational presentations on interviewing, report writing, fraud awareness, identity theft, and ethics. His law enforcement experience includes over five years as a Special Agent in Charge with the Kansas Attorney General's Medicaid Fraud & Abuse Division and over 25 years in Federal law enforcement.
