About the Course

Covid-19 has profoundly impacted the dental profession, delivery of care and the workforce. The impact from Covid-19 continues to affect individual dental practices, corporate dental practices, dental education, and organized dentistry. This presentation will document the changes, challenges, impacts of Covid-19 and how the dental workforce has changed and how we can help the undeserved populations with expanding the scope of care of our present workforce.

This session will enable participants to:
- Raise awareness as to the shortages in the dental workforce and potential strategies for expanding the workforce
- Review the impact of Covid-19 on dentistry and dental education
- Challenges associated with treating patients during and post Covid-19

Speaker

Jacqueline Miller, D.D.S., M.S., M.P.H.

Dr. Jacqueline Miller is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a Fellow of the International College of Dentists and the American College of Dentists. She is a member of the Southwest County Dental Society, the Missouri Society of Orthodontists, Midwestern Society of Orthodontists, and the American Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Miller served 11 years in the Midwestern Society of Orthodontists culminating in serving as the first female president of the Midwestern Society of Orthodontists in 2011. Dr. Miller is a founding member and vice president of the Washington Overseas Medical and Dental Mission. Since 1992 she has organized dental mission trips to third world countries. She helped establish a daycare and dental clinic in Pimienta, Honduras. Dr. Miller practiced orthodontics for 29 years. She is currently the Missouri State Dental Director.
