3 CDE Credits – DDS, DH, DA, AUX

About the Course

Now more than ever, it is imperative that the dental professional is prepared to support their patients with optimized communication. After the COVID-19 pandemic, patients have presented, not only a widespread concern regarding infection control standards, but also a renewed sense of concern regarding overall health. As research continues to unpack the undeniable link between inflammation and systemic disease and as new empirical data identifies correlation between inflammation and acute infection, it becomes increasingly imperative that the dental professional integrate definitive and patient-centered communication strategies to drive case acceptance, improve departmental production and ultimately, provide optimal patient care. Join Katrina M. Sanders for this comprehensive program discussing new communication techniques, examination strategies and co-diagnosis opportunities for the dental practitioner.

This session will enable participants to:
- Understand the importance of relationships and the steps involved in creating an environment of trust and confidence
- Discuss non-verbal and verbal cues that elicit patient feedback around trust
- Create a comprehensive hygiene examination and learn why it is critical to the treatment plan process
- Identify factors that influence the dental patient’s decision-making and ultimate case acceptance
